A FAMILY HISTORY OF HOMEBUILDING: Founded in 1957 by Harold Sukonik, the Sukonik family of companies has been a staple in the Philadelphia Area for nearly 70 years. Harold’s practicality, business knowledge, and passion for homebuilding was instilled in his sons Neil and Jon, who forged their own path in the homebuilding industry starting in 1987. The brothers would go on to become one of the premier builders in Montgomery County, earning a reputation for constructing high-quality homes at reasonable prices. Now a third-generation business, Jon and his son Chris are writing the next chapter in the family’s homebuilding story.

Leading the industry

In 2026, Chris Sukonik was installed as President of the Home Builders Association of Bucks & Montgomery Counties (HBA), a position that Jon Sukonik has previously held, as well. In addition to serving as HBA President, Jon has served as President of the Pennsylvania Builders Association (PBA) and is a past PBA Builder of the Year. The Sukoniks recent efforts and accomplishments include:
